It’s been a really tough time in Southern California, specifically the greater Los Angeles area with the wildfires causing so much damage. People being displaced and losing their homes. But it’s been amazing to see how our community is coming together to help each other out. People are offering shelter, food, and support to those in need. If you’re looking to help, here are some organizations you can donate to:
Locally
Peloton Cellars in Avila Beach.
They are collecting basic need items and shipping them down to a non-profit organization to hand out to evacuees.
Woods Humane Society: They are bringing in lost animals from the fires as the shelters in the fire torn areas are full or out of commission and need help. Donate to Woods to support their relief efforts.
Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation: Provides essential equipment and support to our brave firefighters.
California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund:
Focuses on long-term recovery efforts for those affected by the wildfires.
California Fire Foundation:
Offers financial assistance to both firefighters and victims of fires.
Los Angeles Regional Food Bank: Distributes food and essentials to those in need during these challenging times.
Pasadena Humane Society:
Takes in animals displaced by the fires and provides them with care.
Every little bit helps, so consider donating if you can. Let’s continue to support each other and stay strong during these difficult times.
There was a great article in the LA times today that gives more information on non-profits you can donate to that are part of the relief efforts.
